A Memorial Service is a formal service that takes place after cremation has occurred.  Families have the option of having the cremated remains present in an urn at the service.  Cremation normally takes 3 business days (unless prioritized where extra fees may apply).  A Cremation Casket will need to be selected from the Casket Price List.  An Urn can be selected from the Urn Price List - please see the merchandise section of this website.

Professional Service Charges
Basic Professional Fee $270 (required)
 Professional consultation with licensed personnel, which may include, but is not limited to, providing advice on options to meet your needs, including essential services relating to disposition, planning scheduling of services and advising regarding possible government benefits. A basic professional fee is payable whenever we provide services to you.
Co-Ordination of Rites & Ceremonies $540 (required)
 Co-Ordination of all rites and ceremonies, before, during and after they have been provided, including services and supplies provided by us, as well as those provided by third party suppliers, sch as death notices, clergy, etc.
Documentation $150 (required)
 Completion and filing of all documents necessary to carry out the services and supplies requested, including, but not limited to, death registration, burial permit, coroner's certificate for cremation and an unlimited supply of death certificates.
Transfer (3 x $100 - from place of death, from Funeral Home to Crematorium and from Crematorium back to Funeral Home) $300 (required)  Quantity 
 Transfer of remains from the place of death to the funeral home, from Funeral Home to Crematorium and from Crematorium back to Funeral Home. This is based on a one attendant transfer (hospital). If a 2 attendant transfer is required (residence, nursing home, etc.), please add an additional $100.
Staff for Ceremony $500 (required)
 Staff to coordinate and oversee the ceremony at the funeral home. If the ceremony is off-site, the staff fee will be $725.
Staff Services for Reception $200
 Staff to coordinate and oversee the reception, charged at a flat rate.

Facilities
Use of Facilities the public facilities in the funeral home for service and (if desired), visitation & reception facilities.  Also use of the facilities for the sheltering of remains until final disposition takes place.  
Facilities - Chapel $375
 Use of chapel for memorial service and all the public facilities the funeral home.
Facilities - Sheltering of Remains $200 (required)
 Use of funeral home facilities & necessary sundries to shelter the remains of the deceased until final disposition takes place.
Facilities - Reception Room $200
 If desired, a post-memorial service reception can take place. This includes the use of the reception facilities, and necessary staff charges (hostess, set-up & clean up)
Facilities - Basic $100 (required)
 Use of our general and common areas, parking lot, public washrooms, cloak rooms, heating, lighting and maintenance.

Stationery Package
Our Stationery Packages include a personalized guest book, thank-you / acknowledgment cards, either 4-sided personalized colour memorial folders or personalized prayer cards, a personalized multi-media slide show and a presentation case.
 
Stationery Package #1 - Basic $250
 The Basic Stationery Package includes a guest book, 75 memorial folders or 100 prayer cards, thank-you cards, a customized multi-media tribute and a presentation case.
Stationery Package #2 - Deluxe $360
 The Deluxe Stationery Package includes a guest book, 100 memorial folders or 200 prayer cards, a memorial portrait 8.5 x 11, thank-you cards, a presentation case and a personalized multi-media tribute which can be played at the visitation, ceremony and reception.

Vehicles / Transportation
Use of Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home vehicles for transfer of deceased from place of death, transfer of deceased to crematorium, (if desired) retrieval of cremated remains, local procurement of documents, etc.  
Administration Vehicle $75 (required)
 Use of administrative vehicle for local procurement of documents (crematoria paperwork, coroner's certificates, permits from government, necessary signatures, etc.) in order to carry out service and final disposition (required).
Service / Transfer Vehicle (from place of death) $55 (required)
 Use of transfer / service vehicle and the necessary specialized equipment to transfer deceased from place of death (hospital, nursing home, residence, retirement residence, etc.) to funeral home (required).
Service / Transfer Vehicle (transfer to crematorium) $55
 Transfer of deceased (in cremation casket) from funeral home to crematorium (required).
Service / Transfer Vehicle (retrieval of cremated remains) $55
 Retrieval of cremated remains once cremation has taken place, from crematorium and transfer back to funeral home (optional).

Cremation Casket
Under provincial legislation, a cremated casket is required for transportation of the deceased to the crematorium.  This section features environmentally-sound caskets, modest in design and price for this purpose.

Cremation Urns
A cremation urn can be selected for housing the cremated remains following cremation.  This urn can be present during the memorial service.  Normally cremated remains in an urn can be interred in the following ways:
-interment in a cemetery (earth burial)
-interment in a columbarium in a cemetery
-scattered in a designated location
-kept with the family

Paid Disbursements
Paid disbursements are paid out on the family's behalf as a convenience.  These include (but are not limited to): crematorium & cemetery fees, honorariums for a celebrant or clergy, registration and other government fees, coroner fees and newspaper fees.  These are done at cost, paid out by the funeral home, and placed on your funeral services contract.  
Registration Fee (required) $30 (required)
 The Registration Fee under the Vital Statistics Act of Ontario, is required for registration of the deceased's passing. It enables the Funeral Home to obtain the necessary permits to carry out the cremation.
Coroner's Fee (required) $75 (required)
 Under provincial legislation, a Coroner must issue a Cremation Certificate in order for cremation to take place. This is the fee for the coroner's services.
Cremation Fee (required) $464.60 (required)
 This is the fee paid to the crematorium for the act of cremation.
Clergy or Celebrant Honorarium (required) $300
 This is an honorarium paid to either a clergy person or a celebrant for their services at the ceremony.
Death Notice in Newmarket Era / Aurora Banne $150
  Obituaries / death notices may be placed in any newspaper the family desires. This cost is an estimate and is based on an average 30 line notice. Depending on the the length of the notice, and if a picture is desires, the newspaper will provide at exact cost at-need.
