Thought today,
Memories forever.
Forever remembered,
Forever missed.
A little tribute small and tender,
Just to say we still remember.
There is a link death cannot sever,
Love and remembrance last forever.
A garden of beautiful memories
Sprayed with a million tears.
Tenderly we treasure the passed
With memories that will last.
Silent memories true and tender,
Just to show we still remember
His memories are as dear today
As in the hour he passed away.
Memories are like threads of gold,
They never tarnish or grow old.
It’s just a little but means a lot
To say dear friend we haven’t forgot.
He laboured hard for those he loved
Then left us to remember.
One thing we will always cherish,
No matter what life sends.
A memory of the happiness
Just being friends.
A page in the book of memory
Silently turns today.
We remember you in silence,
And make no outward show.
And what it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.
Memory is a lovely lane,
Where hearts are ore ever true.
A lane I so often travel down,
Because it leads to you.
Always smile instead of frown,
Always a hand when one is down;
Always true, thoughtful and kind,
Wonderful memories she left behind.
A silent thought, a secret tear,
Keeps the memory ever dear,
Time eases the edge of grief,
Memory turns back ever leaf.
We can’t have old days back,
When we are all together.
But secret tears and loving thoughts,
Will be with us forever.
Treasured thoughts of one so dear
Often brings a silent tear,
Thoughts of scenes long past,
Years roll on but memories last.
We often think of bygone days
When we were together.
The family chain is broken now,
But memories will live forever,
To us, she has not gone away,
Nor has she traveled far,
Just entered God’s eternal home
And left the gate ajar.
Just a thought of sweet remembrance,
Just a memory, sad and true;
Just the love and sweet devotion
Of the one who thinks of you.
Heavy are our hearts today,
Memory brings you back once more
To the time when you were with us,
To the happy days of yore.
From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we loved,
She is borne from sin and sorrow
To a nobler rest above.
No one knows how we miss her,
None but aching hearts can tell;
Lost on earth but found in heaven
Jesus doeth all things well.
In our hearts a memory is kept
For a friend we respect and will
never forget.
No space of time, no lapse of years,
Can dim the treasured past.
A loving memory keeps it dear,
Affection holds it fast.
Sunshine passes, shadows fall,
Love’s remembrance outlasts all
Though years be many or few,
All are filled with remembrance.
Gone from us, but leaving memories
Death can never take away,
Memories that always linger
While upon this earth
God grant us the serenity to accept
Things we cannot change;
Courage to change things we can
And wisdom to know the difference.
There is a beautiful road called
Remembrance,
Where loved ones meet.
I’ll take that road in thought today
To the one someday I’ll meet.
We watched you suffer day by day,
And could not help in any way.
But just stood by and saw you pass
Into the saviour’s arms at last.
Sadness still comes over us,
Tears in silence often flow,
Memory keeps you ever near us,
Though you died one year ago.
Only a memory of bygone days,
And a sigh of a face unseen;
A constant feeling of God alone
Knows what should have been.
From our happy home and circle
God has taken one we love;
Borne away from sin and sorrow
To a better land above.
Within our store of memories,
He holds a place apart,
For no one else can ever be
More cherished in our hearts.
No length of time can take away,
My thoughts of you today.
We who love you sadly miss you,
As it dawns another year,
In our lonely hours of thinking,
Thought of you are ever near.
We miss you so in many ways,
We miss the things you used to say,
And when old times we do recall
It’s when we miss you most of all.
It only takes a little space
To write how much we miss you
But it will take the rest of our lives
To forget the day we lost you.
One by one they go before us
They are fading like the dew.
I know they are waiting for us
All the old gang and you.
If I could only speak to her
And hold her loving hand
No matter what I’ve said or done,
I know she’d understand.
Your presence we miss,
Your memory we treasure,
Loving you always,
Forgetting you never.
Dearer still as the years depart,
He lives forever in my heart.
While you, dear parent, rest and sleep,
Your loving memory we’ll always keep.
Memory is life’s sweet gift.
As you were you will always be,
Treasured forever in our memory.
Although we smile and make no fuss,
No one misses him more than us;
And when old times we oft recall,
That’s when we miss him most of all.
Dear........... you are not forgotten,
Though on earth you are no more,
Still in memory you are with us,
As you always were before.
If a tear drop could build a stairway,
And memory a lane
We’d walk the long road to reach
And bring him home again.
Every day in some small way
Memories of you come our way;
Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, loved, always dear.
In the book of lifethere are memories
Of the happy day’s we knew,
And recorded in love and blessings
Of a wonderful dad like you.
Dad is such a special word,
A word that brings to mind,
A big warm smile, a helping hand
A way of being kind,
Devotion to the family,
A word of patience too,
“Dad” is such a special word,
Because it stands for “you.”
What we’d give if we could say
Hello, Dad, in the same old way;
To hear your voice, see your smile,
To sit with you and chat awhile.
So you who have a father,
Cherish him with care,
For you’ll never know the heartache
Till you see that vacant chair.
Beautiful memories,
Are wonderful things,
They last till the longest day,
They never wear out,
They never get lost,
And can never be given away,
To some you may be forgotten
To others a part of the past.
But to use who loved and lost you
Your memory will always last.
He has gone across the river,
To the shore of evergreen.
And we long to see his dear face,
But the river flows between;
Someday, sometime we shall see
The face we loved so well,
Someday we’ll clasp his hand,
And never say farewell.
Loved with a love beyond all telling,
Missed with a grief beyond all tears,
To the world he was just one,
To us he was the entire world.
An understanding heart,
An intelligent mind
We miss you Dad,
You were one of a kind.
Many the thoughts I give to you
As the long hour go by.
Thinking of the things we used to
do and say, just you and I.
Sometimes they make me smile,
Sometimes they make me cry.
But are precious to me alone,
Memories of you and I.
To one will never forget,
His absence to us is sorrow,
His loss we will always regret.
We treasure still, with love sincere,
Beautiful memories of one so dear.
Please God, forgive a silent tear,
A fervent wish our Dad was here.
There are others, yes we know
But he was ours, we loved him so
Dear God, take a message,
To our father above,
Tell him how much we miss him,
And give him our love.
Thinking of the thoughtful things
That you have said and done,
And loving you a little more,
Dear Dad, for everyone.
There’s a place in heaven that’s
Marked “reserved”
For fathers such as he,
Who lived lifelong devotion to
his wife and family.
And there’s a place in our hearts
Marked that way too,
Where his dear memory
Will be loved as he was loved,
Before he entered eternity.
His life earnest, his actions kind,
A willing hand, an active mind,
Anxious to please, loath to offend
A loving brother and faithful friend.
In tears we saw you sinking,
We watched you fade away,
Our hearts were almost broken,
You fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
So peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
Broken is the family circle,
Our dear one has passed away.
Passed from this earthly darkness
Into a bright and perfect day;
But we all must cease to languish
O’er the grave of him we love,
Strive to be prepared to meet him
In the better world above.
Your smile has gone forever
And your hand we cannot touch,
We have so many memories
Of you, Dad, we love so much.
Resting where no shadows fall,
In peaceful sleep he awaits us all;
God will link the broken chain,
When one by one we meet again.
It’s so strange that those we need
And those we love the best,
Are just the ones God called away
And took them Home to rest.
But every time I think of Dad,
I seem to hear God say,
Have faith and trust my promise
You’ll meet again someday.
His portrait in its silver frame
The ravages of time may dim
In our hearts he’s still the same,
We hold bright memories of him.
He walks with me down quiet paths
And speaks in wind and rain,
For the magic power of memory
Gives him back to us again.
Nothing can ever take away
The love a heart holds dear;
Fond memories linger every day,
Remembrance keeps him near.
Beautiful memories are treasured ever
Of happy days when we were together.
Gone are the days we used to share,
But in our hearts you are always there,
The gates of memories will never close,
We miss you more than anyone knows,
With tender love and deep regret,
We who love you will never forget.
How we miss the welcome footsteps
Of the one we loved so dear
Oft we listen for his coming
Fully sure that he is near
Thou art gone but not forgotten
Fresh our love for ever be
For as long as there is memory
We will always think of thee
To me, his name will ever be
The key that unlocks memory
Of a dear one gone, but cherished yet
A beloved one I’ll ne’er forget.
Tenderly we treasure the past
Memories that will always last;
When we cease to think of you
Will be when God has called us too.
You still live on the hearts and minds
Of the living family you left behind.
As angels keep there watch up there
Please God, just let him know
That I down here do not forget
I loved and miss him so.
The Lord watch between me and thee
While we are absent one from the other.
Never a moment out of my thoughts
Too dearly loved to be forgotten.
Loved with a love beyond all telling.
Missed with a grief beyond all tears.
A page in our book of memories is gently turned today
I lost my best, my dearest friend, Dear Mom when I lost you.
Gentle, unselfish, a friend ever true; my best possession, Mother, was you.
While you dear Mother, rest and sleep, your loving memory we’ll always keep.
I keep in my heart the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last.
Through absent you are very near, still loved, still missed, and very near.
Two dear bright eyes, a tender smile,
A loving heart that knew no guile,
Deep trust in God that all was right,
Her joy to make some other bright,
If sick or suffering she knew,
Some gentle act of love she’d do,
No thought of self, but of the other
I know he said, “Well done, dear Mother.”
Keep her Jesus, in Thy keeping,
Until I reach that garden shore
Then dear Saviour let me have her,
And love her as I did before.
Wonderful memories woven in gold,
This is a picture I tenderly hold
Deep in my heart,, a memory is kept
To love, to cherish, never to forget.
We mention your name
And speak of you often,
God bless you dear Mother
You are not forgotten.
Always willing to help others
When herself should be at rest
She was the kindest of all Mothers,
Now amongst the Heavenly best.
In out hearts our memories lingers,
Sweetly tender, fond and true;
There is not a day dear Mother,
That we do not think of you.
Sad was the parting, no one can tell,
So sudden on earth the sorrow fell;
The blow was hard, the shock severe,
To part with one I loved so dear.
Dearer still as years depart
Her memory lives within my heart.
We had a Mom with a heart of gold,
Who ws more to us than wealth unfold;
Without farewell she fell asleep
With only memories for us to keep.
So many things have happened
Since you were called away,
So many things to share with you
Had been left to stay.
Every day in some small way
Memories of you come our way;
Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, loved, always dear.
No hand so soft and gentle
No heart so tender, true
No sorrow life could bring us
To equal losing you.
Till roses lose their petals,
Till heather has lost its dew,
Till the end of time dear Mother
We will remember you
Where ever I go, whatever I do,
Memories keep me near you.
Because in her life she was saintly
Because in her heart she was pure,
Her reward we are sure must be heaven
And our grief we must tr
try to endure.
If I had all the world to give,
I’d give it, yes, and more,
To hear her voice, see her smile,
And greet her at the door.
But all I can do, dear Mother
Is go and tend your grave,
And leave behind tokens of love
To the best Mother God made.
I like to think when life is done,
Where ever heaven may be,
She’ll be standing at the door
Up there to welcome me.
God gave our Mother,
And he tried to be fair,
And when he gave us ours,
We got more than our share,
Although he took her back
One year ago today,
We are so grateful for
The years he let her stay.
They say memories are golden
Well, maybe that is true,
But we never wanted memories
We only wanted you.
Things I feel more deeply
Are the hardest things to say,
Dearest Mom, I love you
In a very special way,
If I could have one lifetime wish
One dream that could come true,
I’d pray to God with all my heart,
For yesterday and you.
Mom’s life is a beautiful memory
Her death is a silent grief,
She sleeps in God’s beautiful garden,
In sunshine of perfect peace;
We miss her, oh how much,
But realize God knew best,
He let us have her many years,
Then gently bade her rest.
Our hearts are like a memory book
Its pages Mother dear
Holds all the loving thoughts nof you
Recorded year by year
A book of golden yesterdays,
Bound with love and care
A rare edition Mother dear
Because you’re treasured there.
You are not forgotten, sister,
Nor ever will you be,
As long as life and memory last,
We will remember thee
Sadley missed along life’s way,
Quietly remembered every day,
No longer in our life to share,
But in our hearts, she’s always there.
Together in the same old way,
Would be my dearest wish today.
You were a loving husband,
A pal so good and true;
A better husband ever lived,
Your equals are but few.
Looking back with memories
Upon the path you trod,
We bless the hours we had with you,
And leave the rest with God.
Life seems to mean so much before
It’s not important anymore.
The strength to face the daily tasks
Till I am with you is all I ask.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home.
Our thoughts are ever with you,
Though you have passed away;
And those who loved you dearly
Are thinking of you today.
It’s lonely here without you.
We miss you more each day.
For life is not the same to us.
Since you were called away.
Silently we grieve,
And brush away our tears,
The memories he left behind
Will last throughout the years.
No morning dawns, no night returns,
But that we think of you.
Those left behind are very good,
But none replaces you.
Many a silent tears is shed
When we are all alone;
The one we loved so very much,
The one we call our own.
Alone, but never quite alone
I face an empty chair;
But sometimes in the silence
I imagine he is there,
My companion for so many years
No longer here with me,
And yhet in some mysterious way
He keeps me company.
A million times I’ve need you
A million times I’ve cried,
If love could have saved you dear
You never would have died.
Things we feel most deeply
Are the hardest things to say,
My dearest……I love you
In a very special way.
If I could have one lifetime wish
One dream that could come true,
I’d pray to God with all my heart
For yesterday and you.
Someday we hope to meet again,
Someday, we know not when,
To clasp his hand in a better land,
Never to part again.
I couldn’t halt the hand of time,
Or live again the past.
Within the my heart are memories
That will forever last.
As time unfolds another year
Memories keep you ever near,
Silent thoughts of time together
Hold memories that will last forever.
Peacefully sleeping, resting at last,
His weary trials and troubles past;
In silence he suffered, in patience he bore,
Till God called him home to suffer no more.
Surrounded by friends I am lonesome,
In the midst of my joys I am blue;
With a smile on my face I’ve with a smile on my face I’ve a heartache,
Longing dear husband, for you.
His weary hours and days of pain
His troubled nights have past,
In our aching hearts we know,
He has found sweet rest at last.
Gone is the face we loved so dear
Silence is the voice we to hear,
Too far away for sight or speech,
But not far for thought to reach,
Sweet to remember home once here,
Who, thought absent, is just as dear.
His charming ways and smiling face,
Are pleasures to recall.
He had a kindly word for each
And died beloved by all.
Just thinking of the thoughtful things
That you have said and done,
And loving you a little more,
Dear Son, for each and everyone.
Softly the leaves of memory fall,
Gently we gather, treasure them all;
some may forget now that you are gone,
we will remember no matter how long.
It is sad to walk the road alnoe,
Instead of side by side.
But to all there comes a moment
When the ways of life divide;
You give me years of happiness,
Then come sorrow and tears,
But you left me beautiful memories
I will treasure through the years.
Those we love we never lose
For always they will be
Loved, remembered, treasured
Always in our memory.
He suffered patiently and long
His hope was bright, his faith was strong.
The peace of Jesus filled his breast
And in his arms he sank to rest.
He left us quietly,
His thoughts unknown,
But left a memory
We are proud to own;
So treasure him Lord,
In Your garden to rest;
For when on earth,
He was one of the best.
A part of my heart he took with him
But his love he left me to keep,
So we will never really be parted
The bond between us is too deep.
Love’s greatest gift –
Remembrance.
There is a home not made by hands.
Beyond its golden door
Awaits the one who’s now away,
Not lost just gone before.
And in that home not made by hands
The Master will prepare
A place for us, and when He calls
We’ll meet our loved ones there.
We do not forget her, we love her too dearly
For her memory to fade
From our lives like a dream;
Out lips need not speak when our
Hearts mourn sincerely,
For grief often dwells where it
seldom is seen.
Just a thought of sweet remembrance,
Just a memory fond and true,
Just a token of affection
And a heartache still for you,
Though our thoughts are not revealed,
Little do they know the sorrow
That is within our hearts concealed.
A few more steps along life’s road,
Perhaps a few more years,
Then by God’s grace we’ll meet again
Beyond the vale of tears.
Sweet memories will linger ever,
Time cannot change them it’s true;
Years that may come cannot sever
Our loving remembrance of you.
Wonderful memories of one so dear,
Treasured still with a love sincere;
In our hearts she is living yet,
We loved her too dearly too forget.
In all the world we shall not find.
A heart so wonderfully kind,
So soft a voice, so sweet a smile,
Inspiration worthwhile;
A sympathy so sure, so deep
A love so beautiful to keep.
I have lost my soul’s companion,
A life linked with my own
And day by day I miss her more
As I walk through life alone.
When ties of love are broken
And loved ones have to part,
It leaves a wound that never heals
An ever-aching heart.
Though tears in my eyes do not glisten,
And my face is not always sad,
There is never a night or morning
But I think of the mother I had.
Not a day do I forget you
In my heart you are always here,
For I loved you and miss you
As it ends this second year.
Two tired eyes are sleeping,
Two willing hands are still.
For one who suffered far too much
Is resting in God’s will.
You never said goodbye to us,
For perhaps it’s just as well,
We never could have said goodbye
To one we loved so well.
As I journey toward life’s sunset
Mourning her who went before,
Faith assured me, I’ll be with her
When I reach the other shore.
It was His will that she should die;
His will that we should let her go;
And we must ever bow to it,
But oh dear God, we miss her so!
Months have grown day by day,
It’s now a year since she went away
Thoughts are full and hearts to weigh,
Without her here to share the way,
Time may dull the hand of fate,
Memory forever recalls the date.
We are sad within our memory,
Lonely are our hearts today;
For the one we loved so dearly
Has forever been called away;
We think of her in silence,
No eye can see us weep,
But many silent tears are shed
When others are asleep.
Deep in the heart lies a picture
Of a loved one laid to rest;
Memory’s frame we keep it,
Because she was one of the best.
Though her smile is gone forever
And her hand we cannot touch
Still we had so many memories,
Of the one we loved so much,
Her memory is our keepsake,
With which we’ll never part;
God has her in His keeping,
We have her in our heart.
My lips cannot tell how much I miss her
My heart cannot tell what to say
God alone knows how I miss her
In a home that is lonesome today.
We long for household voices gone,
For vanished smiles we long,
God has taken our loved one on,
And he can do no wrong.
God knows how much I miss her,
Never shall her memory fade,
Loving thoughts shall ever wander
To the spot where she is laid.
There is a family who misses you
And finds time long since you went.
We think of you daily and hourly,
But try to be brace and content.
Tears that we shed are in silence,
And we breathe a sigh of regret,
For you were ours, and we remember,
Though all the world forget.
A little lamb too sweet and pure
Upon the earth to roam,
An angel came so silently
And took our dear child home.
When the dewy night was fading,
And the sky in beauty smiled,
The angels came into our garden
And picked our sweetest flower.
She was only a little white rose,
A sweet little flower from birth;
God took her home to heaven
Before she soiled the earth.
Another sweet flower has withered.
A gem from the casket set free;
A lamb in the fold of the Shepherd
Who said: Let them come unto Me.
The memory of his dear wee ways
Will linger with us all our days;
Sweetest flower, too sweet to stay,
God took him home to show the way.
We miss her love and cheery ways;
With her we spent our happiest days.
In memory we see her the same,
As long as we live, we’ll cherish her name.
Thoughts wander as daylight fades
To the land of long ago.
Memory paints the scenes of old
In the gold of the twilight glow.
We seem to see in the dim light
A face we loved the best,
And think of her when sun’s ray
Goes down in the far-off west.
We cannot hold her little hand,
Or hear her little voice,
Still her memory lingers on.
Before the throne of God,
Thousands of children stand,
Children whose sins are all forgiven,
A holy, happy band,
Up there among the throng,
Our little (name) stands,
Waiting for us to join him,
In that holy, happy land.
Wishing today as we wished before,
God could have spared you many years more,
With silent thought and deep regret,
Loving memories we will never forget.
A bud the Gardener gave us,
A pure and lovely child,
He gave it to our keeping,
To cherish undefiled.
As just as it was opening
To the glory of the day,
Down came the Heavenly Father
And took our bud away.
Fondly loved and deeply mourned
Heart of my heart, I miss you so;
Often, my darling, my tears flow
Dimming your picture before my eyes,
But never the one in my heart that lies.
The stars seem dim as I whisper low,
My darling boy, I miss you so.
God knew that she was suffering
That the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her weary eyelids
And whispered, Peace be thine,
Away in the beautiful hills of God,
By the Valley of rest so fair,
Someday, we know not when,
We will meet our loved one there.
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints in snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush;
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
