To: Jane, Sean & Amber. My sincerest condolences, they 'broke the mold' when Neil Harrison was conceived. My Dad used to say: "nobody is perfect", but Harry was very close!! There are no sufficient words to express the sadness (from all his friends in London-St Thomas) and personally from the Paterson family. We will remember the good times and all the laughs because that is what Neil would want. Although I'm unable to get to Neil's 'celebration of life service', my thoughts are with you and all his family and friends.

A sad day... Neil was a very nice guy... I had the pleasure to work with Neil at Firehall 244 or Scarborough Hall 5 in Scarborough... He always had a smile on his face... He always saw the bright side in everything... and he was very humble... You would never have known of his accomplishments .... I am thankful of the time that I had with Neil and I am truly sorry for your loss.... he will always be remembered....

We offer our condolences to the family. We have been blessed with so many memories from the late 80's on and I still remember that infectious laugh that was only "Harry's". Through my involvement with Kurl For Kids and Avonlea Curling Club I got to know the real volunteer that Niel was. He left his mark truly etched in all of our memories. To the family an friends I leave you this: Memories are Special Moments in time, that, when collected, help complete the portrait of our lives. Their importance increases when shared with others. One of the finest gentleman i have ever had the pleasure to meet and work with. We were on different shifts at the same hall for the beginning of my fire dept career. Story shared: Heart to Heart Memories

I am one of the original organizers of the Heart to Heart Charity Bonspiel and got to know Neil very well. His participation was a must, as his easy going manner, humour and just being a gentleman, made him a perennial favourite. We moved to another whole stratosphere in his legend when we innocently started a little get together in the parking lot of the host hotel and it quickly became "Harry's Beach Party" complete with lawn chairs, umbrellas, hot tubs and grills for food. Front and centre was "Harry" being the host, serving his favourite concoction of the year. He brought the tunes to listen to and we supplied the player. One of my favourite recollections was the year he couldn't come for the weekend, due to family commitments, but he did fly in for the party and we all waved at his plane leaving near the end of the party, as it flew over our heads at the parking lot. He will always be remembered as one of the most gentlemanly, big hearted people to ever curl and he will be sorely missed. I had the privilege of meeting Harry's son at the Sudbury H2H and he was a chip off the old block, so to speak. My sincere condolences to the family.

Neil was one of those rare people that always had a smile on his face and an open heart. I always looked forward to curling against him. We enjoyed the friendly competition and the heartfelt laughs that we shared. I haven't seen him in years yet it feels like we just met yesterday. That's the kind of guy that he was. Neil Harrison was one of the funniest guys to be around when I covered curling for the Toronto Sun. He never took himself too seriously and made sure I never did, either. My wife was in the hospital at the same time as Neil, a couple of years back. She was a huge curling fan and was thrilled to meet Neil and talk curling with him. Neil gave her a curling pin and she couldn't stop smiling. My deepest sympathy to Jane and Family. He was a great guy.
