THOMPSON, Terry Allen
June 29, 1955 - October 23, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry on Tuesday October 23rd after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Ruth Thompson, fondly remembered and will be greatly missed by Step-Mother Irene Shiels, Tracy Blanchard (mother of his children) and special friend Delores Charles.
Terry was the much loved Father of Tyler (Heather), Sara (Kevin), Brandon (Melissa). Cherished grandfather of his beautiful granddaughters Lara, Lily and Ella. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Robert "Bob" (Ruth) Thompson, Susan (Dan) Phillips, Stewart (Evelyn) Thompson, Richard Thompson and Kimberly Nicolson.
Terry loved the outdoors and spend most of his time bonding with nature, gardening, cutting wood, harvesting maple syrup and much, much more. He was a very generous and humorous man who would lend a helping hand to or give whatever he owned to anyone in need. He was a laborer and amazing stone mason with many extraordinary talents, building and renovating many homes throughout his lifetime.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a time together to remember Terry's life. A visitation is being held at 12 p.m at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket. A memorial service
will be held on the same day beginning at 1 p.m., there will be a reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket.
